Merdys Ingvoldstad, M.Ed.

Founder and owner of M.I. Career Counseling Associates since 1989, Merdys, or “Mert” earned an M. Ed. in Counseling /Guidance from the University of Arizona and is licensed as a career counselor in the state of Arizona.

She was a career counselor at Tucson’s Regional Re-Employment Center, now a part of Pima County One-Stop Career Center, and she has facilitated many out-placement workshops. From 1989 to 2005 she was a career consultant for USWest–now QWEST. She has developed and presented many career workshops for schools, corporations and other organizations. Mert is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™ facilitator.

She edited Chart Your Course: Career Planning for Young Women, published and distributed nationally for more than 10 years by the Women’s Educational Equity Act Publishing Center.

As instructor of career counseling classes, Mert was selected by the students to receive the Distinguished Teaching Award in the Counseling Department at the University of Phoenix, Tucson, in 1994. She facilitated a workshop on “Spiritual Career Counseling Tools” at the National Career Development Association’s conference in 2001.

Mert is an ordained Minister of Metaphysics and incorporates spiritual principles in her career counseling.
